Our Mission Statement
We exist to meet the needs of widows, orphans, the aged, and the less privileged in our communities. The Bible adjures, “Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.” (Isaiah 1:17)
Who We Are
Mercy Foundation is a non-governmental organization named after our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Lolo Mercy Ogbuehi (Mama), who went to be with the Lord on August 14, 2010. Mama’s home was always open to orphans, widows, the poor, the hungry, and to strangers. She treated everyone with respect and caring love. The foundation was established in fulfillment of a vision given by God to continue Mama’s lifework and expand on it. The foundation is comprised of Ministers of The Gospel/Pastors, Lawyers, Social Workers, and Humanitarian Workers.
What We Do
Mercy Foundation and its subsidiary, Mercy Ogbuehi Widows & Orphans Foundation is a 501c3 charitable organization, which started operation in November 2017. We organize skills acquisition classes for widows and school-age orphans. We train and empower our graduates with funds and equipment, as appropriate, to start small businesses. We do not charge them for any of our services.
